Ungstrup (14740), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 2, 2005 A black beer with a disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet roasted with hints of blueberries before a dry roasted end sets in. This is not a fruitbeer, but rather a dry stout - a lovely beer. Papsoe (14631), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 30, 2008 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Courtesy of Thomas E. Completely opaque black with a small light brown head. Aroma of burned malt, tar, ashes and some vague underlying berry notes. Medium body with lots of burned malts, ashes and blueberry notes appearing in the late finish that also contains quite some malt bitterness. 260708 yespr (11635), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 27, 2008 12 fl oz bottle. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Mar 22, 2008 Dark - almost entirely black. There is a distinct blueberry accent to the slightly chocolatey, slightly burned stout. Too carbonated - really knocks out a lot of the flavour. Hints of fruit but its a simple, uninteresting mix. argo0 (6861), Washington DC, USA Jan 9, 2006 (12oz bottle, thanks Pailhead) Used motor oil body topped by small brown head.
