| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 2, 2003 Chunky, eruptive bronze foam. Impenetrable black liquid. Lively, fresh, earthy aroma of freshly mashed blueberries, herbs, ginger, perfume, and wood. Hints of leaf, port, and black malts. Blueberries add a floral touch. Airy and phenolic. A thin mouthfeel lies beneath the fluffy carbonation and tries to turn creamy. Initial note of acidity with charcoal, leather, grass, and meaty molasses flavors. Touch of vanilla, prunes, and baker’s chocolate. Burnt malt overload. Lovely finishing notes of toffee, coconut, and espresso. This sample was slightly metallic and oxidized, but the fresh blueberry notes and rich, Imperialesque burnt malt flavors were exquisite. Cheers, Prof! vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 26, 2006 draft at the brewpub - Pours black with a thin, fading, tan head. The aroma has roasted malts and lots of blueberries. Roasted malt and blueberries carry the flavor with some mild chocolate notes. Awesome aromas of chocolate, blueberry, and toffee. The light blueberry flavor was just right, balanced by a heavy malt presence and a tiny bit of hops. cbkschubert (2020), Cochise Co., Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 14, 2007 12 oz. bottle via trade (can’t remember who, sorry) - Pours a dark brown color with a 3/4 finger thick tan head. Very light spotty lacing. Aroma is basicly Blueberries. Flavor is roasted malt with a touch of bluberry. Has a bitter, thin palate. Light to medium body. This beer could use a tad more in the mouthfeel and body departments. Still, a decent beer. Thanks to whomever sent this. sliffy (2012), Columbus, Ohio, USA
