Smells og blueberries and toasted malts. Medium sweetness. Aromas of toasted malts. Also clear blueberry notes, especially towards the end of each sip. Maybe a bit medicin-like. Reminds me of the not-liquirish-notes of a Blå Gajol (not the drink). Dry toasted finish again with blueberry notes. Very nice mix, quite unusual... a bit too dry in the finish, maybe (minor detail). rudolf (1787), Buffalo, New York, USA

Nose is wonderfully malty - I’m reminded of expedition. Rich caramel, molasses, some hop presence,a bit of blueberry is there but remains in the back. Flavor is that wonderful malt, toffe, molasses, cocoa, almost burnt sugar, hops. Fruit is there but not specifically blueberry, more an undefined fruitiness. Stunning stuff, especially for 4.5%. I’d drink this daily if I could. tjthresh (1782), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 15, 2006 12 ounce bottle. Pours ink black with a small quickly fading dark brown head. It takes a good swirl, but there are blueberries here. Mostly roast anc chocolate though. The berry flavor goes well with the dry roastiness. Oily on the palate with nice carbonation. Really pretty good. ryan (1781), Beltsville, Maryland, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 12, 2005 Pours jet black with a creamy tan head that fades quickly. The aroma is big, roasty and smokey, chocolate, coffee and molases compliment the blueberries in the nose. The flavor starts out with roasted coffee, smoke and chocolate before blueberries show up mid-sip, the end is mostly blueberries. The finish is long and dry, with roasted bitterness. This is a nice stout, it could certainly start up on its own. The blueberries are component of the flavor, as opposed to dominating it. Well done. 11026 (1772), Alabama, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 6, 2004 Bottle. Pours a thickish black color. A brown head barely forms ahd then fades quickly. Aroma is like a basket of blueberries and slightly of deeply roasted malts. Flavor runs amok. Roasted grains, blueberries and hops swirl around, fading in and out. Very good blend of some interesting flavors. sneagrams3 (1762), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Oct 9, 2007 Tasted 9/24/07. 12oz bottle. Pitch with an opaque hue. Tan ring of head. Fruity bready aromas with a hint of spices. Rosemary, thyme, rye bread. Hmm. Interesting nose. Toasty fruity and spicy. Full bodied and wonderfully complex layers and juxtapositioning. Cola malts and Italian spices. Bready and sugary. Bitter rye and coffee. Nectar. Lingering tart berries and bitter coffee astringency. Totally odd spices, but its a lovely ride. Boom. Peppery and piney. Intense but not completely good. Berry notes are mild yet adequate. Subtle citrus. Crazy complexity. Lovely palate. Moderate effect. DavidP (1743), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 16, 2007 Tap @ Romans. Black body, dark tan head. Strong blueberry aroma with a roasty chocolate background. Again big blueberry flavor with a good sweet stout backing. Very natural blueberry flavor; good beer. jake65 (1725), Williston, North Dakota, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 30, 2007 Bottle: Dark brown pour with a modest tanned head. Nose is definitely blueberry up front; it starts to float about the room. A little coffee is detected too. The blueberry is present in taste into a coffee and bittersweet chocolate blend. Flavors competed a bit here rather than complimenting each other. Thanks Eithcubes.
