12 oz bottle into snifter. Aroma is great - coffee, bitter roastiness, bitter chocolate, and blueberry! Flavor is the same. Lots of chocolate bitter and sweet. Medium to heavy bodied with medium to low carbonation. Overall: great, well done beer.

Pours brown-black with a large, foamy, coffee-brown head. Blueberry is the principal aroma, some anise and toast follow. On the flavor, blueberry melds well with the dark fruit and bitter melon roasted barley elements; the finish is more of dark chocolate. A little bit too burnt. Medium bodied, somewhat thin compared to the flavors, mild carbonation.

Bottle shared with MrRomero, strong tart aroma of blackberries underscored by a roasted malt aroma. Pours a nice dark color with a light tan head. Tart blueberries contrast nicely with the dark roasted malts. Nice dry finish with a lighter palate, and high levels of carbonation. This a was a nice brew.

Pours a jet black color with a small rimming tan head. Aroma is just excellent, blueberries but none of the booberry artifical stuff. Flavor is much less blueberry but still really awesome. Some burnt chocolate mixed with blueberry. Palate is just about perfect. This is really really good.

12oz bottle. Pours black with a frothy brown head. Nice brown lacing lasts for almost the entire beer. Aroma is of blueberries, chocolate, caramel, and dark fruit. Taste is very bitter at first, and takes a few sips to get used to. Once it settles it tastes of caramel, chocolate, malt, coffee, and dark fruit. The blueberry taste is not overpowering, but simply blends in with the other flavors. It lingers on after each sip. Body is very creamy. Finish is very dry with lots of coffee. Not something I could drink more than one of, but a very tasty beer.

Pours a deep black with large compact uniform brown head. The aroma is full of blueberries, coffed, and chocolate. The blueberry seems quite fresh. Not like a beer aroma I’ve had before. Nice coffee and roasted malts with a blueberry muffin flavor and a coco character that lends depth and a bit of chocolate bitterness. Feel is a bit chalky and of nice depth for a stout. Nice unique beer. I don’t know of another like it. Sweet, roasted and fruity. Blueberry is probably my favorite fruit and I think Dark Horse did a great job of getting past the femine stigma associated with fruit beers.

Pours a very dark brown with a slight tan head that recedes quickly. Smell is roasty, with very stout like characteristics. Surprisingly, there is only a hint of the blueberry making itself known in the nose. Taste is very much like the nose. This is a very solid based stout that is used, with just a pinch of blueberry in it. The mouthfeel is heavy and robust with a decent amount of carbonation. As it warms up, the blueberry traits are becoming more apparent. This is a good stout with an interesting twist. Glad I tried it.
