Nose is lightly scented with blueberries and cooked, roasted notes. I am not a fan of stouts but I thought the blueberry would take the edge off those traditional stout flavorws I do not care for. It did. There was just enough sweetenedeblueberry flavor to join with the coffee baqckground to make this an enjoyable sipper. I would not mind having it again. Thanks to Sprinkle for the bottle. The nose is filled with dark chocolate, blueberry preserve...and that’s about it. Medium to full-bodied with good concentration and quite syrupy, it’s hard to believe this is only 4.5% alcohol! In the mouth the chocolate and blueberry are again quite prominent. bdigital (586), Ft Wayne, Indiana, USA

I was a little hesitant due to not having good experiences with deliberate fruit-flavored stouts. Pours an oily black with no head and a slight amber ring around the top. The blueberries stand out in the aroma along with some chocolate and coffee. The first taste of this kind of threw me. It was all coffee and no blueberries, not necessarily bad but different. Beyond that first taste I was able to pick up the blueberries initially and it would tail off to a malty, coffee finish with just a little bit of a mocha taste. All in all, a decent session brew. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 18, 2007 Pours a black color with a small brown head. Aroma is strong blueberry with chocolate and roasted malts. Blueberry taste isn’t overpowing and meshes well with the chocolate. It’s not a harsh stout but very easy to drink and pretty well balanced. incutrav (576), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 4, 2008 Smells like an old blueberry pastry. Taste is of fruit, some toffe and a little smoke thrown in. the stuff looks like dark daark blue ink. One of these was enough, but really quite drinkable. thehoff (569), Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 13, 2003 Absolutely beautiful as far as a stout is concerned. You cannot see light through this beer like most stouts. The head is a foamy bubbly tan, very deep tan and very nice to look at. Smells of malt, bitter chocolate, and the faintest hint of blueberries. Tastes quite nice actually, a roasted nut sort of flavor in the finish but a stout flavor at first. The blueberry flavor really is an accent. There is an annoying metallic flavor that interferes overall but the beer is quite nice. Coffee and chocolate. chimpscampee (566), Madison, Wisconsin, USA

You wouldn’t want more than one at any time. Unique to me but more than just a novelty. Solid stout with blueberry twist. masonjer (564), Holt, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 4, 2007 Tried not rate this too low, considering that I am not a big fan or stouts with fruit. I think considering that, this is a good one for the style. Nice malt and chocolate, with a bitter backbone, and faint finishing blueberries, or at least dark fruits. If you like stouts with fruit, try this one.
