Aroma of burnt toasted malt and sweeter blueberry notes. Taste is sweet and toasty, of malt and berries, reminds me of blueberry crisp. Lingering toasty flavors with a hint of berry. Very tasty berry stout. Firemoose15 (542), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA

Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate, blueberry, and molasses. Average sized brown head that mostly diminished but left no lace. Black hue. Flavor is roasted malt, dark chocolate, blueberry, coffee, and wood. Nice finish. Palate is smooth and oily soft. Med/full bodied. A very nice dry stout especially if you like that roasted/burnt malt flavor. Pastor (534), Maine, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 18, 2009 Thanks to Tyson for sending this want along. Bottle poured into a snifter produced a finger worth of coco colored head that turned to a thick lace. The body of this brew was the typical midnight black for any stout.
The aromas reminded me of a blueberry coffee, being from Maine yes there is such an animal. There is a slight chocolate smell as well but once I thought of the blubbery coffee I pretty much kept coming back to that. The flavors are toward the smoked side with slight blueberry fruit sweetness to it had a medium to full feel in my mouth with a slight carbonation.
I liked this beer it was real interesting. I think one a sitting is all I could take, but it was enjoyable to drink. Like Maxwell house "good to the last drop".
They need to market this in Maine it would sell great WisconsinBeer (534), St Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2008 12 oz bottle. Opens with a very faint escape of carbonation, almost too little to hear.Dark dark black in color, almost no head to speak of. I was a bit skeptical of this beer, because I thought the blueberries would overwhelm. However, I’m pleasantly surprised. They play a very minimal role in the flavor. Prominent flavors are milk chocolate, roasted malts, and chocolate covered blueberries. Definitely a sweet stout. Full bodied, a bit syrupy. Solid. StFun (534), Indiana, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 5, 2008 Updated: Jan 8, 2009Best smelling beer I’ve had so far. Smells EXACTLY like a blueberry muffin or blueberry pancakes. Nothing too special about the appearance, dark black with maybe tint of blue. Flavor was good, really good, but the aroma got me so jazzed that I expected much more of a blueberry flavor to this one. The blueberry flavor in this one is comparable to the cherry flavor in Bells Cherry Stout, but it certainly adds to the flavor. No bitter aftertase, nice hints of chocolate and malt. The blueberry is there, just not as much as I wanted it to be. Still, a fantastic beer! FunkyBrewster (533), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 24, 2009 Thanks 17thfloor! Pours jet black with a nice creamy light brown head. Aroma is very robust with chocolate malt and a big coffee and bitter chocolate presence. Beneath is a very biting blueberry tart note that adds a whole new level to the aroma. Flavor starts with a nice soft blueberry sweetness rounded with a nice malty body. Mmmmm liquid sweet blueberry muffin. Through the swallow the blueberry flavor loses ground to a bitter or bakers chocolate and ever so slight hop presence. Regains a bit of blueberry tartness in the swallow and lingers along with the dark malt, much like a blueberry dark chocolate. Medium to full body and mild carbonation. Deliciously melds the flavors to a well rounded but not overly aggressive beer.
