Bottle, thanks Acknud! This is mazing. Very dark pour wtih a smallish brown head. Smell is of blueberries, but upon tasting it the taste is of a delicious stout with a hint of blueberry flavor in the background. Wonderful beer. Well balanced.

Tres has a great aroma of natural blueberry. I havn’t had many blueberry beers but this is the best so far. Good roasted malt flavor, just a little sweetness and more blueberry. Full palate and quie good overall.

Bottle thanks to Daknole. Pours with a dark brown head. Thickish pour. Black body. Aroma of blueberry and buckwheat pancakes, florals and chocolate fudge. Aroma is roasty, chocolate, tobacco, soil, and a light, nearly herbal sweetness from the berries. Creamy mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Thanks to Rogueone for sharing a bottle, part of a Too-Tres-Fore-Plead The Fifth horizontal tasting. This beer pours brownish-black with a thin beige head that recedes quickly. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of anise, malt and light blueberries. Medium, smooth body with flavors of roasted malt, licorice and subtle blueberries. Bits of chocolate at times too. The finish is roasty with a nice blueberry aftertaste. Normally nobody holds a candle to New Glarus when it comes to Fruit beers but this is very enjoyable, and easily the best fruited Stout I have had.

In short: A highly roasted blueberry stout. An interesting and almost successful attempt (almost).
How: Bottle 12oz, age unknown. From HogtownHarry, thanks a lot Harry.
The look: Black body topped by a tan ring of foam
In long: Nose is highly roasted, some black coffee and only a little hint of blueberries. Taste has the blueberries more upfront and adds molasses and chocolate notes to the black coffee and highly roasted flavours detectable from the nose. Body is full, carbonation is lively. The beer has an overall dry sensation. I was very much intrigued by this beer and I’m glad I got to try it. The result was not as good as I hopped nor was it as bad as I feared, so I was both relieved and saddened, like the time I peed myself in my favourite jeans.

Aroma is more raspberry or strawberry to me than blueberry? Also has lots of coffee present too. Black, with a small cappuccino head. Flavour again is berries, but I didn’t find it to be blueberry, roast coffee also. Full bodied, bitter as can be. Fantastic! Thank You mds!

A whopper of a head appears the minute you pour this one. And it’s blue! Tragically, the taste isn’t as original, lacking almost entirely in blueberry flavor (OK, maybe there’s some there, but it’s very subtle - see Weyerbacher’s Raspberry Stout if you really want a fruit-flavored stout). There’s an inexplicable harshness to this brew that the 4.5% alcohol doesn’t account for.

12-oz. Thanks, SecretSanta! Pours an opaque black with virtually no head. What’s there is a dark orangey tan ring of foam. Kinda watery looking. Plenty of blueberry on the nose, followed by roast and chocolate. Medium attack, some body there and some carb but neither of them are remarkably abundant or scarce. More of a forwardly roasty flavor with a blueberry finish than the other way around. Some hollow, nutty hop on the finish along with the berries. Interesting beer.
