Bottle courtesy of StFun poured into a snifter. This is the last of the stout series for me and this one pours just like the rest, pitch black with a bubbly mocha head that dissipates to a ring. There is little lacing but lots of bubbles rising to the middle throughout. Aroma is surprising for a stout as it smells like a blueberry cobbler with some coffee and chocolate malts thrown in. Fascinating smell. The taste isn’t quite as nice as the aroma but still good with the dark roasted malts and bittersweet chocolates dominating. The blueberries are present but not overwhelming, making for a nice, balanced flavor. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with tons of carbonation and leaves the palate tingling. This is right up there with Plead the 5th in the series and this one may win for originality. Great beer and the best sessionable stout I’ve tasted in a while.

Pours deep brown with purple highlights and head. Sweet blueberry and chocolate in the nose and flavor. Creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle pours a pitch black with tan head. Head does not last long. Mouthfeel is medium. Smells of chocolate and blueberry waft from the glass. Has complex flavors of chocolate, roasted beans, and blueberries. Nice long finish. Very tasty.

12 oz bottle. Nice dark black pour with slight head. Nice amt of blueberry flavor to go along with roasted coffee. Pleasant, better than expected.

Bottle from stfun, thanks josh! By far the best out of the five beers tonight. Light hint of blueberry in the aroma. Dark color, followed by a red head which I have never seen before in a beer. Taste was a nice touch of blueberries in a stout. But it still had the stout characteristics. Roasted malt, chocolate and coffee. Good smooth texture, which made it easy to drink. Overall a really good brew, thanks Josh for this one!

Dark reddish brown with a medium brown slowly dissipating head. Aroma of blueberried, roasted malt, chocolate and a touch of smoke. Flavor of roasted malt, coffee, blueberries, smoked malts and chocolate. Smooth body has very mild bitterness. Mild dry finish with blueberries slowly creeping into the finish. Not overly sweet, just a well made fruit stout.

strong blueberry aroma with coffee stout undertones. dark with a very little head. slightly creamy strong coffee slightly less chocolate and just a hint of blueberry. bitter finish and very drinkable. 12oz bottle. after warming the blueberry flavor really came through.

Thanks 17thfloor! Pours jet black with a nice creamy light brown head. Aroma is very robust with chocolate malt and a big coffee and bitter chocolate presence. Beneath is a very biting blueberry tart note that adds a whole new level to the aroma. Flavor starts with a nice soft blueberry sweetness rounded with a nice malty body. Mmmmm liquid sweet blueberry muffin. Through the swallow the blueberry flavor loses ground to a bitter or bakers chocolate and ever so slight hop presence. Regains a bit of blueberry tartness in the swallow and lingers along with the dark malt, much like a blueberry dark chocolate. Medium to full body and mild carbonation. Deliciously melds the flavors to a well rounded but not overly aggressive beer.
