A full bodied stout made with all malted barley and blueberry. Flavors of chocolate, roast malt and light blueberry make up the palate with lots of fruity blueberry aroma.

Opaque black with a thin, crema-colored head. Pouring yields the aroma of fresh blueberries, for sure. Second inspectoin yields more blueberries, caramel, nicely roasted malt, light coffee, molasses, cocoa and a hint of woody spice. The body is big and smooth; it’s been a while since I’ve had a stout and this feels good going down. The first sip shows loads of roasted malt character. Nice roasted/burnt bitterness to balance the sweet malt and the subtle blueberry fruit. The cocoa, malt, coffee and caramel are really nice and compliment the fruit well. I’ve been leary of this for some time, wondering what blueberry and stout tasted like togther, but this was really nice. The fruit is subtle, but it adds depth and a unique character to maek something special.

Pours a rich oily black with a thin light brown head. Upon opening the bottle I can smell the blueberries. Nose is a complex mixture of sweet blueberry and roasted chocolate malt. The blueberry flavor is very subtle in the body, contributing a light tartness up front and slowly fading, covered by the roasted malt flavor. Finishes dry and roasty with some lingering dark chocolate. A novel idea and done pretty well, but as Slikwily said, it could use a little more blueberry flavor. Nonetheless, very drinkable and enjoyable. Thanks bbb63!

Aroma is more raspberry or strawberry to me than blueberry? Also has lots of coffee present too. Black, with a small cappuccino head. Flavour again is berries, but I didn’t find it to be blueberry, roast coffee also. Full bodied, bitter as can be. Fantastic! Thank You mds!

A black beer with a disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of chocolate. The flavor is sweet roasted with hints of blueberries before a dry roasted end sets in. This is not a fruitbeer, but rather a dry stout - a lovely beer.

I am a Marylander and one of the Old Line State’s biggest embarassments is Oxford Raspberry Wheat. Being a Maryland patriot, I hate beers that advertise fruit in the name. That feeling has come to an end. Psych Prof, a prophet really, has provided me with this blueberry elixir that frankly boggles my scrotum. Unlike many other reviewers, I encounter almost no head. There is little carbonation to get in the way of this complex, nearly imperial, stout. Completely amazing. Imagine Storm King and blueberries. Sound weird? It is.

Bottle. Dark black body with a tannish small head. The aroma has tons of fluffy blueberries like a nice muffin. There’s also some lacticity and mild roast. The flavour is chocolatey to begin with and has some astringent richness to that end. There are touches of berry fruit in the finish but only slightly so. Quite roasty and smooth overall. Solid.

Black with a thick but short lived tan head. I haven’t smelled blueberries this rich since my last IHOP trip. Taste is really full with the fresh berries with some chocolate behind it. Some cigar flavor in there also.

Bottle thanks to styles! Poured a highly viscous black with a short cap of caramel head. Quite excellent aroma of rich, roasted chocolate, coffee, and blueberries (started out with sour notes, but morphed into a fresh basket as it approached room temp). Chocolate hit the tastebuds first, yielding to bitter coffee roast and a hint of the fresh berries. Smooth, yet rather light on the palate (esp. compared with the thick pour)... roasty finish with blueberries. Interesting and very well-crafted brew!
