Quite excellent aroma of rich, roasted chocolate, coffee, and blueberries (started out with sour notes, but morphed into a fresh basket as it approached room temp). Chocolate hit the tastebuds first, yielding to bitter coffee roast and a hint of the fresh berries. Smooth, yet rather light on the palate (esp. compared with the thick pour)... roasty finish with blueberries. Interesting and very well-crafted brew! Firemoose15 (540), Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, USA

Poured a nice deep dark brown with a chocolately head. Flavor was good, coffee, chocolate, burnt malts and tinge of blueberry. Palate was medium bodied and finished with a bitter blueberry bite. Overall not too bad. wintersdying (49), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

made a trip across the river to indiana and picked up this one...
aroma is almost overwhelming w/ blueberries. it’s beautiful.
pours so dark and thick i would guess this was an imperial. i was surprised at the abv based on it’s appearance ... but this is incredibly light and refreshing.
i never thought i’d say this... but this is one stout i’d sit out on the porch and drink during the summer. antzman (313), Clarksville, Indiana, USA

Part of me wants to love this beer (stout) and part of me wants to hate it (fruit), so I was a little torn trying this. Pours a dark mahogany with a dark tan head with nice lacing. The aroma initially is blueberries, but then some malt comes through as this breathes a little. The taste is malt heaven, with just a trace of blueberry, with a coffee finish. Damn this is better than I expected. Immy (1912), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 19, 2007 12 oz bottle with gputty. Black with a brown head. Strong, sweet black coffee and softchocolate aromas with a light, sweet blueberry puree quality. A bit thin, but with a liveliness not common to a stout. Flavor follows the nose, the berries more pronounced after fully warming. Blueberry and chocolate finish. Pleasant suprise! tennisjoel (941), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Body is black with a tan head. Roasted malt aroma, with chocolate and blueberry in the background. A nice combination for sure. The blueberry and coffee compliment each other well in the flavor. A different and interesting beer. I like beers where the fruit aspect is secondary versus a strong fruit beer. Very nice for a low alcohol beer. Beerman6686 (1283), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
