Light blueberry at the front of the nose, roasty with hints of coffee. Fruity and fresh smelling. The body is nicely fruity with delectable coffee notes. Very little blueberry in this thing, roasty with a light palate. A very nice base stout - doesn't really need the blueberry, it's barely detectable anyway. Not up to the standard set by other fruit stouts like Bell's Cherry Stout, but a good stout nonetheless. joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

The fruit aromas and flavors meld well with the natural esters of the malt and are complemented well by the heavy roastiness. There are big hops in here as well and the bitterness of the roast dovetails nicely with the extending herbal bitterness. I appreciate the full stout flavor -- roasty, chewy and full bodied -- while the fruit and bitter extend the beer beyond the call of duty. Thanks PsychProf! bubslang (438), Kentwood, Michigan, USA

Taste was roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and subtle hints of blueberry. mouthfeel is light and slightly creamy. The combination of stout and blueberries easily could have been a disaster, but this beer pulls it off fairly well. argo0 (6987), Washington DC, USA

Black bodied - poured with a huge dark cocoa brown head that almost overflowed then slowly settled. Sweet and roasty aroma. Taste is malty licorice, chewy coffee raisons, and very subtle fruit - the blueberry, I assume. Mildy hoppy finish and continuing fruityness. More blueberry at the end. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA

The bluebeery aroma is nice and is the first thing you notice. Under that is a bit of hop and chocolate. The malts take dominance in the flavor with chocolate laying down the foundation of the flavor with toast and a little char filling in the cracks. The blueberry is there in the flavor, but not so strongly. JCW (1262), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Aroma is really nice, chocolate smothered in blueberries, maybe a little coffee mixed in there too! Flavor is mainly fruity(blueberries of course) and some baker’s chocolate. Sweet. Mouthfeel is creamy. Finish is fairly sweet. If you like blueberries and think it would mix well with a stout, you gotta try this one. dukefan (173), Dallas, Texas, USA

The bold sweet fruitiness of the blueberries nicely complements the hearty, coffee, dry finish of the stout. A delightful mouthful.
