DuffMan (1939), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Aug 19, 2007 When you enter this beautiful restaurant gallery there is a display case that tastefully displays all of the wine, beer, and spirits on offer. Dark Isle’s Leatherwood Porter immediatley caught my eye, but I was disappointed when they told me they had run out. I was offered this exclusive Dark Isle product instead, straight from a fresh keg. It is deep dusky amber with an almond head. The aroma is sweet and malty. The flavour has a nice slightly roasted quality with soft honey tones in just the right balance. Having had three other offerings from this brewer, I would say this was by far the standout. Perhaps it was because it was so fresh, and from a keg rather than a bottle.
