Cask@Kitty’s,Helsinki. Pours hazily dark brown, hazelnutty, with a thick, lasting head. Very nutty aroma is also of toffee, caramel malts. Taste is also very nutty, particularly hazelnutty. There’s also some sweet toffee and grassy hops. Quite bitter aftertaste. A bit watery on the palate but in the aftertaste more bitter and sticky. Nice ESB.

Cask at dba. Hazy amber pour with a thin but tight white head. The nose is quite soft and lovely. A kiss of light UK crystal malt and a bit of lovely Maris Otter malts. Nice spicy hoppiness and a kiss of fruit and light sulfur. There is a light touch of crackery sweetness and a bit of earthy/herbal hoppiness on the finish. Really nice pint.

Gravity cask at the Northants BF. Dark amber with an off white head. Rather nutty and sweet to start but a good multilayered hop hit soon kicks in to create a satisfying pint.

Fresh at the brewery in Sussex. A copper coloured beer with an aroma of chocolate and fruit. Caramel, fruit, chocolate and ginger in the taste. Reminded me of Fullers ESB. Easy drinking ale from Dark Star, very nice indeed.

Cask at Akkurat. Pours brown red orange with a light tan head. The aroma is true to the style of malt and some hops. Tastes malty, rosted and some nuts. Bigger body than most ESBs
