The bier was clear brown with thick white foam. In the aroma there was malt and grains. There was a lot of malt in the flavor along with a mild smokiness. Dry finish. Another excellent beer from Das Bierhaus. Wunderbar!

| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Aug 20, 2009 I tried this as part of the sampler tray on the way down to Madison for the GTMW event. I must be pretty sensitive to diacetyl compared to others, because it really took over this beer. Amber red pour. Biscuity flavor, and obviously the buttery touch of a diacetyl bomb. Pretty gross; I’m glad I didn’t order this in a pint size. islay (478), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 17, 2009 Small pour (approx. 3 or 4 oz.), on tap at the brewpub. Consumed on 8-7-09. Caramel, buttery aroma. Diacetyl noticeable in smell (especially) and taste, but I am far less averse to diacetyl than most. Pours a clear amber/brown with beige head. Malty flavor features muffin taste and hops dryness in the finish. Light body. Soft, fluffy, and lively in the palate with some crispness. phishpond417 (1953), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 3, 2009 A style that i feel is often overlooked at breweries. Maybe because the industry finds it boring? Not sure, whatever it is- this beer was fantastic. Clear mahogany, bright in every aspect. Bright fruits, like apple with a hint of fig. Caramel undertones are soft. Aroma was pleasent, a funny cinnamon and pepper smell. Another winner from Das Bierhaus. BDR (2168), Roseville, Minnesota, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 10, 2008 Growler courtesy of Skyview, who chose wisely in having this break up the streak of sour beers that were being consumed that day. Copper color with no head. Solid aroma of caramel malts and nuts. Floral hop flavor, dry and dusty grains, yet not to the point that it tastes like a grain silo. Very dry finish. Very tasty.
