Right Bob, I am with you on this one. This is an exceptional beer, and it is arare yellow lager, whether it be a Bohemian pils or German or any other variant, that really satisfies and is actually a beer you want to drink more of. This is a beer I would drink on a regular basis if available closer to home. Very well carbonated. The aroma has full with malt, bread, yeast, and grain. Flavor has more fresh bread, and lots of yeast. Fairly well hopped, with a little citrus, but just a touch. Saaz hops I would bet, with a central European influence. Long, bitter finish with hops and malt. I am not sure it is better than their Pilsner, but it is a great beer.

On draught at the Das Bierhouse in downtown Menomonie, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear golden pale colored brew with a thick white head that holds large bubbles and slowly dissipates to a thin creamy white head that stays with the beer. Aroma of fruity golden grain malt, white bread with a hint of flowery hops a touch of light yeast. Taste is medium to full bodied, smooth and creamy, some carbonation with flavors of white bread dough, some multi-grain bread, a hint of floral hops and a touch of lemon. Finish has a mild, short lived bitterness that leaves behind a golden grain malt aftertaste that slowly disappears. This is Das Bierhaus’ best beer to date. One of the smoothest and golden grain flavored beers I’ve encountered that is unlike all other lagers I’ve tried for over 20 years. I would enjoy having this one on draught at my home tavern on a full time basis. Most excellent!

Pours a very pale sunshine yellow with minimal head. Flavor is pale malts, crisp in flavor, German/Euro hop finish, with the slightly bitter metallic tang. A fine lager, goes down quickly and smoothly. One of the Bierhaus most popular brews to date.

Appearance is a semi-hazy lemon yellow with thin white head. Aroma is sugary lemon mixed with yeast flavor (citrus yeast) with bready undertones. Body is light with high carbonation.
