Commercial Description:
Using 100% barley malt, our Leichtbier is brewed like our regular Pilsener but lighter in body, lower in alcohol, but still all the flavor a true Pils should have: unfiltered, golden color with a dense white head, and a full of barley malt flavor.

Draught at the brewpub. Light color with a grainy aroma. Faint yeast and grains in the body but watery on the finish.

Purchased as a sampler tray along with 4 other Das Bierhaus brews along with Bitburger. Pour is a lager like gold with some active carbonating bubbles and a tight head. Cereal grains, slight lemon tinge. Good flavor for a light beer. Simple but somewhat refreshing for what it is.

July 2nd, 2008 Sample platter. A wonderfull Light beer. Light aroma of grains and slight pungent sweat smell. A very clear brew of yellow color. Full flavor taste and almost pilsner like, but apparently it is a light beer. Best light beer I have ever had.

The first new beer in about five months from Das Bierhaus in 2008. Served on draught at the brewpub in downtown Menomonie, Wisconsin. Pours a hazy, unfiltered golden pale brew with a creamy white head that has some good retention and spotty lacing. Aroma of golden multi-grain barley malt, some light yeast, fruity apricots, and a touch of banana. Taste is light bodied, low carbonation with flavors of light golden grain malt, some banana, slight fruits of pear and apricot very low in alcohol, and a good balance of yeast and nobel flowery hops. Finish is very light, a little toward the watery side with a mild banana bread aftertaste that quickly disappears to a crisp finish. Definitely not a typical or average light beer as this one has a decent German pils flavor and character. This one must be served fresh. The local farming customers requested for a light beer, the Das Bierhaus brewmaster has created one that will not only will satisfy the light beer drinkers but craft beer drinkers as well.
