Commercial Description:
Named after Spain’s famed “goat killing” northerly wind, this tempestuous brew has a maelstrom of flavors swirling within it. Robust American hops and rye make this deep, dark ale an experience to savor.

First public offering of Dave’s Brew Farm flagship test beer. On draught during the Autumn Brew Review 2009 in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a hazy brownish amber colored brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that leaves behind a creamy top head and some spotty lacing. Aroma is slightly fruity, flowery hops, sweet multi-grain malt and a hint of vanilla. Taste is medium to full bodied, smooth, with flavors of fruity apples, honey, a hint of candi sugar and bubble gum. Finish is semi-sweet with a fruity pear/apple aftertaste the slowly disappears. Any rye malt is well hidden behind the sweet sugar addition in the profile. Overall, a decent smoothy silk and semi-sweet specialty grain beer.

This beer is all over the place, and I am not quite sure what they were going for. Mild hop aroma with lightly roasted grain. Flavor has brown sugar, more grain, and yeast with a mild hop bite.
