Fairly uncomplex malty aroma, some hint of alcohol.
Very much a ’guld øl’. Strong alcohol, some hop and malt. Not my thing.
Medium-thin body, a little fizz.
Not my style.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 29, 2009 Bottle. Pours a clear, deep amber, with a generous, foamy off-white head.
Fairly uninteresting flavor mainly of caramel malts, with alcohol and slightly metallic hops in the background.
Very faint malt & hop aroma.

Deep amber color, good beige head. Caramel, grass, some berries in the nose. Flavor is similar, some grass, a bit grainy, caramel malts and berries. Some Scandinavian XMas beers are similar. This is not an ESL. oh6gdx (9047), Vasa, Finland

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 1, 2009 500 ml bottle. Brownish copper. Clear. Tall thick creamy white head that clings to the glass. Fresh cut grass aroma. Floral and grassy with a note of chestnuts. Soft texture. Nice and rich nutty flavours with a sweetish malt edge. There is also quite a lot of bitterness that lurks in the background, and it balances the sweetness nicely. I quite like this beer. Finishes dry with a bitterness that lingers.
