Ungstrup (11385), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 9, 2006 A deep red beer with a huge tan head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with some dusty notes as well as nuts. The flavor is sweet with quite strong metallic notes - is it the hops or the alcohol that gives it this note? but also lesser notes of nuts and alcohol. The end is dry metallic and bitter with the alcohol note lingering on the palate. Papsoe (10559), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 4, 2006 (Bottle 50 cl) Neat, clear, dark amber with a small, off-white head. Odd vegetable aroma, but not really unpleasant - just odd. Full, markedly sweet body with some overwhelming accents of caramel. Only some very discreet hops in the finish. Drinkable but certainly not a great beer. 040206 yespr (6943), Copenhagen O, Denmark Feb 1, 2007 50 cL bottle. Pours golden/red with huge creamy light brown head. Clear malt aroma with notes of alcohol. Flavour adds a bit of caramel to the strong malt feeling. Nothing special joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Nov 19, 2005 Bottled.
