Parket (219), Bruges, Belgium Nov 1, 2009 bottle. Nice golden colour with stable white head. Smell: fruity. Taste: yeasty, fruity, a bit sweet and hoppy. No ’special’ beer but not a bad one. sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland Aug 14, 2009 (Bottled) Almost clear amber with small, floating yeast bits, and a smallish, firm and lasting head. Very pleasantly fruity aroma with honeyish maltiness and grassy hop hints. Flavor is not as fruity, but there’s plenty of pale malt, some hay, and maybe a touch of cardboard. Hides the alcohol well. Medium body with soft-n-foamy carbonation. A positive surprise, although the flavor didn’t quite meet the expectations set by the lovely fruity aroma. gunnfryd (3539), Kristiansand, Norway Jul 18, 2009 Bottle. Golden- orange colour with a white head. Aroma is sweet, hop, malt, spices. Flavour is sweet, hop, malt, spices, alcohol. Medium body. OK beer. MoritzF (4859), Bochum, Germany May 23, 2009 (33cl bottle; the back label states: brewed by brewery De Arend) Hazy, golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Sweet and distinctively bready cara-malty aroma with notes of pear, citrus and a light spicy touch. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied with a well-matured and moderately carbonated mouthfeel. A bit yeasty and rich cara-malty taste, again with that bready touch and rather subtle fruity notes, combined with spices; moderately sweet malt-accented and slightly bitter finish. Good one (23.V.09). BoBoChamp (1334), Gent, Belgium May 17, 2009 33cl, exclusive brewfirm, from Willems Grobbendonk, complex brew, not balanced, cloudy, rocky head, nice brew yngwie (4880), Kristiansand, Norway May 13, 2009 Bottle. It’s an almost clear, golden beer with a big, white head. Tea, sugar, some fruits and a herbal touch in the aroma. The flavor is on the sweet side, almost sugary, with some alcohol, pale malts, a little spiced note, some hints of tea, and a herbal bitterness. Medium body, slightly warming. Bitter finish with sugars and some warmth. A quite decent one, nothing more. A bit boring maybe.
