[RBESG, Sheffield]
Grand Tasting @ The Harlequin, Sheffield.
vintage 2005
Pours deep red with a fine pink film head. Aroma has a sh**-load of cherries, a slight touch of sulphur, super tartness. Light almonds. Practically no carbonation giving it a fantastic oily mouthfeel. Starts extremely sweet, like cherry jam. The cherries are just everywhere! Then it turns puckeringly tart. Quite lemony finish. Truly wonderful...

RBESG Sheffield 2009 Grand Tasting at the Harlequin. Pinkish red colour, almost no head. Aroma of cherry skin, almonds, acid. Flavour is a bit less harsh, still very acidic/sour, cherries and a bit of almonds, wood, mouthpuckering. Medium bodied. Again, too sour for me..
