Oct 23, 2007 Bottle at Delirium Cafe, 375ml. Perfumy, a bit of a rocky taste, burnt meat. Nice, light sour, mushroom flavor. A touch of sweet malt aftertaste. Floral, light, lacking in carbonation. Not much sourness. Look to their Kriek if you want some serious lambic. This would be a good gateway sour.

Oct 22, 2007 Pours exceptionally lively from the bottle: it was excited to get out! Offered up its distinct lemon rind flavors and aromas, and finishes nice and dry. A good gueze.

Oct 21, 2007 Pale gold, light white head fading to a film. Aroma is tart fruit: peach, apple. Light-medium body. Mouthfeel is initially like a white wine: you get the acidity first, then the funk invades: all sorts of complex barnyard flavors. Finish is apple cider on crack. Just lovely.

Oct 19, 2007 Golden-straw colored beer with a dense white head. Dusty, earthy, yeast aroma with some funk present also. Tart and dry with sharp citric acid notes and somewhat of an earthy character. Well balanced and easy to drink. Thanks to rudy for bringing this back from Belgium.

Oct 1, 2007 [591-20070908] 375mL @ Sourfest 2007 (Buffalo, NY, w/ rudolf, frylock, IPFreely, jerc, swoopjones). Strong notes of burnt popcorn, lightly sweet and alcoholic. Hazy, orange brown body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sour corn flavour base. Medium body. Interesting popcorn aspect.

Oct 1, 2007 Slightly cloudy copper, white head. Nose is lemon candy, acid funk, barnyard yum. Flavor is lemon acid, earth, very bitter rind. Nice enough.

Sep 30, 2007 Apple cider colored peachy yellow brew, the head and lacing lasted a whole 3 seconds.
Definately a woody, old cask aroma. The funkyness is there, but more subdued than say 3F or Cantillon. In fact, it had a surprising freshness, almost minty herbal aroma that went leathery further on.
Low end carbonation pushes the acidity to good levels but without getting too astringent or "burning", the funky flavor tastes a bit more corky than woody, it again reminded me of a dry cider, especially in the finish, it’s drying and tart but oh-so easy to drink and makes you drink more and more! I’m glad I finally got to find one of these rare beauties!

Sep 27, 2007 (Bottle 37,5 cl) Clear, deep golden with a somewhat rough, white head. Complex nose of vinegar and Brett. Medium-bodied, a little flat, very complex fruit notes and a heavy acidity. Again typical Brett flavours of horse blanket, vinegar and sweat. Dry and acidic finish. 180907
