Big, big thanks to miketd for this hard to get beer!
Pours a deep, thick pomegranate juice color. Smell is big delicious tart cherries and lots of woodiness to it, and is super smooth, rounded and inviting. Taste is sour, sour, sour! Very nice, tart, dry cherry flavor and oaky, vinous, tanniny, drying deliciousness. No harsh or vinegar like qualities to it, but yet still intensely sour and extremely enjoyable and easy to sip. Great intense, yet balanced flavor, and I could have easily had more of this. Thanks so much again for this treat, Mike!

Much wanted bottle from miketd on 12/19/07. Thanks! Pours lambic flat. Wonderful cloudy orange red color. Very sour and very tart. Very dry. Very good, but needs some food accompanyment. I’m not sure what.

Dark cherry color...almost neon red. No head but fully flavorful aroma and flavor of sour cherry, barnyard, light berry, tart cherry, rhubarb...mouth puckering with crazy sensations.

Very generous pour from Mes, who broke this bottle out on Oxford RB Crawl. Attractively unclear red, sticky tan head. Cinnamon aroma and a huge nostalgia rush smell of a well-kept dairy farm in the summer. Sharp, perfumed cherries, both the not-quite ripe green cherry smell, and the noble rot of cherries returning to the earth under the orchard canopy. Sour in a very rustic, feral way. Something about it makes me think of wild boars. Smooth, an unexpected fullness to the palate. Really nice beer. Big thanks Mes!
