Commercial Description:
Unlike many other unblended oude lambik, there exists both draft and bottled versions of De Cam Oude Lambiek.

Please note the age of the sample you are reviewing when entering your rating. While many factors determine whether you have had "Jonge" or "Oude" Lambik, a general rule of thumb is to enter 1 year-old or older lambik under "De Cam Oude Lambiek" and anything less than 6 months-old under "De Cam Jonge Lambiek".

For those between 6 and 12 months of age, you should take in to consideration the character of the lambik. Samples presenting themselves as hazy/cloudy, with some head-formation and residual sugar should be entered as "Jonge Lambik", while those that are drier, higher in clarity and with little/no head formation should be entered as "Oude Lambik". If in doubt, message JorisPPattyn.

2000 bottle shared. This was my favorite of the sour tasting. Poured cloudy gold with a white head. Aroma of funk, wheat, fruit. Taste is similar with lots of funk, little fruit, and some light wheat/grain. Really enjoyable. The mouth is well carbonated and smooth. Overall, an excellent brew that has aged very well.

37.5 cL bottle - bottled 2000, after 5 years - tasted 2009 - 14 years old, courtesy of Ungstrup - cheers Jens! Pours hazy orange with a fully gone head. Dry barnyard and orange fruity aroma. Dry and sour initial flavoured. Bone dry. Mild citric and acidic with a vague fruity accent and vague malt presence. Dry, sour and wooden finish. Lovely.

75cl bottle courtesy of ygtbsm94. 2005 bottle. Clear gold with just a bit of foam forming on top. Cleaner, acidic aroma. Citric flavor, but with just a bit of malt balance and a mellow overall profile. Almost flat, but does have very light carbonation. Not overly funky, and pretty smooth. A lambic that I think I could session, which may be a first for me.

Courtesy of YGTBSM94. Bottled 10/2005. Clear light amber body with no head and no apparent carbonation. The nose is heavy on the cheese side with lots of yogurt, light citrua and cobwebs. The taste is lightly sweet with decent acidity. Flavor of cheese, lemon, hay and dough. Medium body is very soft with no carbonation.
