Consumed at around 8:30 on DLD morning. Pours a hazy, golden-auburn color; mostly headless, with a touch of oiliness. Intensely dense and funky aroma: lemon rind, predominantly, with horseblanket, lots of funk, and reasonably high acidity; gorgeous, funky nose. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: follows the aroma well; lots of tart citrus, funk; again, above average (but reasonable) levels of acidity; intensely drinkable, tart, and dense. Excellent aged lambic. Lengthy, tart finish: clinging citrus, blue cheese, and funk. Beerlando (2351), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 27, 2008 Courtesy SoLan. 2000 vintage. Pours a cloudy orange amber color. A thin, swirly, bubbly layer of off-white foam crowns the top, leaving just a soapy wash in its wake. The nose is really nice, showing notes of sour apricots and nectarines amidst the classic, funky barnynard notes. This one smelled particularly dusty and dry, which provided nice contrast to the bright fruit. Flavors were similar, if not a bit more subdued and muddled. The fruit was less defined, taking on more of a generic citrus feel. Mouth puckeringly sour, the dry funky notes are classic Belgian lambic. Medium, soft body. A bit under carbonated at this point. Finishes very dry and lightly sour. Incredibly easy to drink. Great beer. xmarcnolanx (806), Kirkwood, Missouri, USA

Yellow, dehydrated piss color.
Aroma is slightly skunked, but not too bad, lemon rind, cheesy, like a soft white cheese, musty.
Taste is very lemony and juicy, some more cheese.
Finish is crisp, zesty, lingers with a lot of sourness.
Good. chimplechamp (465), Oslo, Norway

Big head, creamy and perfect white. orangey copper colour. citric and sour nose. Quite light but very saliva inducing tartness. Grapey and apple. Doesn’t have the complexity yet that comes with age, but still very ennjoyable. voota (765), Melbourne, Australia

Poured a little bit flat, hazy golden in colour with not much of a head. Aroma of grapeskin, a decent amount of maltiness, and quite a bit of acidity and wet-blanket. The fuller maltiness shows in the mouthful, balancing the tartness interestingly. A bit of apple come through the flavours but it seemed too flat and lifeless to reveal too much more to my palate than a bit acidity in the finish. Stew41 (1054), Caulfield, Australia

Nose is low impact but the classic characters of sour fruits and vomit persist. Similar characters in the palate; shows good presence and depth, allow clearly this beer is mellowing and the flavours do tail off somewhat. Bitter finish. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 10, 2007 Muchos gracios puzzl, who brought this all the way back from Belgium. Dated 10/2000 The bottle pours a clear orange. It looks still but there are a few little bubbles sitting on the floor of the glass and there is a thin lacing but it quickly fades. The beer has a dusty barnyard feel with fruit-vinegar, and a smooth sourness. The sourness is very herbal and grassy, very original and seems signature to De Cam. I thought the body was actually pretty viscous, especially for a lambic. The reduced carbonation made it seem mouth coating. Leaves behind a short acidity for the aftertaste. 750mL, Cantillon small rounded wine glass.
