Lightly tart, fruity nose. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel, sourish notes and a fusty edge. Very subdued bitterness. Great to finally get the chance to try this, but unfortunately the beer is way over the top. 120108 yespr (12313), Copenhagen O, Denmark

Got a bit of must on the aroma. A bit of dust, but the lasting marmalade is lovely. Just a bit musty for me. MesandSim (5940), London, Greater London, England

Beautiful cloudy amber with a superb creamy white head. Heavily oxidised but a lovely caramel and yeast aroma that is typical of De Dolle. Slightly rusty flavour that in all honesty is on it’s way out but I’m such a sucker for De Dolle I still enjoyed it. Slight apple, lovely caramel and delicate bitter and sour notes. Very tangy at the edges. Yum! thewolf (5796), Kolding, Denmark

Pours clear coppery golden with a small, frothy, off-white film head. It disappears rather quickly, though. Aroma has cellar, red apples, port, wood. Still maintains a fairly high carbonation, but the mouthfeel remains a bit below my expectations. Flavour is great, though. Some port, wood, maltiness, caramel, toffee mix with a whiff of smoke, some graininess and just a faint hint of something tart. Impressive. Magicdave6 (5552), London, Greater London, England

Alround rating: The beer has nearly died, theres nearly no carbonation. Big sherryness, like a medium sweet aged sherry. Theres still hints of hop bitterness. The body is still fairly big and so drinking it still takes a quite. A good effort alround, but will surely die sooner rather than later.
