| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 26, 2008 33cl bottle. Pours a very cloudy golden orange with some brown coloring. The head pours thick, voluminous, cloudy, fluffy, and off-white - and leaves a good bit of lace on the glass. The aroma is quite full and delightful: caramel, orange hard candy, sugar, honey, and hints of funky esters. The flavor has a big malt presence. Again there is a note that resembles orange hard candy. There flavor is sweet with sugar, caramel, and honey; and there is some fruitiness in there, too. At mid-palate, the beer gets more bitter with hints of roasted grain and sugar. It has a very slight acid note, too, which accentuates the orange candy flavors. The finish is sweet with some esters and has a mild but balancing hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is very full in body and a little slippery. The carbonation level is quite high, too, giving the beer a slightly more refreshing, light quality to the texture. Overall, a nice, malty Belgian ale. zeke626 (303), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA

Pours a cloudy yellow-orange body with lots of sediment and explosive, off-white head. Aroma of belgian malts, yeast, citrus, and spice. Light fizz on the palate; medium-bodied. Flavors of sweet malts, sugar, light citrus, and clove. Sweet malt and orange in the finish. Very drinkable for the style. douglas88 (1675), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 19, 2008 Updated: Jul 22, 2008Bottle bought at Sams in Chicago, and drank at 1130 before a wedding. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick and very powerful head. Mountainous. The aroma is full of yeast, spices, and tons of alcohol. The flavor was mostly a rich and full spice profile, along with tons of yeast, apples, and a very dry finish. Great. I enjoyed this one early and pretty warm. Skeegle (499), Maryland, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 16, 2008 What a beer. Pours a thick cloudy mud-yellow color that can be likened to the color of plum flesh. The flavors are incredibly dry and incredibly tart and crisp. Flavors of bubble gum, balloon air, lemony leather and apple skins. Not much hop profile at all, but that’s to be expected. A wonderfully done beer once again. MuttyD (93), Cambridge, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 13, 2008 Bottle. A moderately bitter bite cuts through the fruity sweetness and clove spiciness for a well-balanced and complex beer. Huge, rocky, white head that lasts. The body is hazy and dark yellow. The aroma is fulll of clove, honey, lemon, pineapple, mustiness and flowers. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter, but the finish turns moderately bitter and then somewhat sour. Medium body and velvety texture with lots of carbonation. Real craftsmanship is evident in the ability of the beer to present so many aromas and flavors without having them trip over and run into each other. Excellent.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 13, 2008 Blond coloured beer with large white head. In the beginning an uncontrolable head. I had my work to stabalise it ;-). Only few carbonation. Hoppy aroma. Full palate. Finish is hoppy and a little herby.
