Commercial Description:
Boskeun is the nickname of Jo, one of the two brothers who preferred to brew blond beer at home. It is a special Easter beer, one of the first real Belgian Easter beers. (Slaghmuylder's paasbier being first). It has been brewed with pale malt, Golding hops, cane sugar and refermented with native honey. As it is a seasonal beer we suggest not to keep it eternally. The name Boskeun means rabbit of the wood (virgin wood, maybe?) and the label shows it, sampling the last brew.

[Bottle, thanks Guerde] Pours really hazy with small particles floating in it. Aroma is quite sweet with a lot of yeast and malt. Taste is also sweet with yeast and malt, but there are also some spices and a fruitiness to it too. Medium-thick mouthfeel. A pretty good beer.

4/16/06 (Easter): 11.2oz bttl. Pours a hazy, yellow-orange golden color with a huge, rocky, white, fully lasting head with excellent lacing... Aromas of oranges zest, bananas, bubble gum, and cloves... Nice round flavor profile and soft, oily finish... Yeah! Thanks to Will Knight...

Bottle, 33 cl. It was long ago that ill taste this lovely beer. Cloudy darkgolden to amber color, off-white foamy head, rocky and leaving a trace on the glass. Aroma yeast, sweet hops. medium body. Taste good character, with malts and honey touch, yeast , good in balance, and bitter finish. Nice.

Pours a fully clouded orange brown with a nice off white head. Nose is full of funk and spices. Touch of orange peel on there it seems as well. Touch of cotton candy. Flavor is bringing the funk. Sugar and yeast are kicking up and spices are in full swing. You might as well pull out the fork and knife and mix up some nice sides with this one. Feel is thick with a big carbonation. Liquid has a good body as well. Just coats the mouth. Overall very drinkable. A powerful and robust brew that has a mass of complexities. If you can’t handle a thick mouthful, then you might not want to bother with this one. If you can handle it, then sip with extreme pleasure.

Floral and lady’s lingerie store aroma. Powerful hit up front with the alcohol. Loud flavor with a variety of seemingly hop-induced but non-hoppy flavors. Yellow. Stinging and lilting palate. Good!

Pours out an explosive, creamy white head above an ultra-cloudy, heavily particulated, visibly effervescent orange. The head is incredibly sturdy and won’t die down. There is an pleasant aroma of berries, spicy yeast and sweet honey. The flavour delivers a punch of bitterness and the palate violates the tongue with sharp, effervescent carbonation. The flavours include fragrant, floral hop bitterness, orange peel, honey and an apple and pear bouquet. The finish is bone-dry and the palate is sharp, vibrantly fruity and crisp. Well done!

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a lot of small yeast sediments and a huge white head. Aroma is solid spiced, yeasty and mild caramel malt, mild floral note. Flavour is spiced and sweet, with strong fruity note and distinct warmth from the alcohol. Slight woody note towards the finish. Ends warming and with a slight bite from alcohol and spices.
