| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Feb 25, 2007 Bottle. From last year, I think. I was expecting a gusher when I opened, but just got a slight pfft. Nice head and nice lace that was still there after a good hour. Aroma was a little light, mostly the usual suspects in a good Belgian (banana, citrus, other spices.) The mouthfeel was a bit metallic at first, but that quickly subsided and became very nice. Lots of spice, honey, some citrus and it finishes with a grainy, spicy nuttiness that’s unlike anything I can remember. Almost like smoky. Very nice indeed. Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 23, 2007 Pours a light copper color with a thick white head. Aroma is of spices, lemon, citrus, and yeast. Flavor starts off with lemon and citrus that give way to grassy tones, honey, yeast, and spices. Slight alcohol warming on the finish. A pretty decent brew. beermouth (435), Langeskov, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 20, 2007 Deep copper and brownish with nice thick’n creamy offwhite head. Spicy, hoppy, florally, malty, vinegar-like and fruity. Like all Dolle beer’s, it has a high carbonation. bgburdman9 (823), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 17, 2007 Poured a light copper maybe light brown color with an explosive white head. The bottle actually began to gush but I poured it in time. Aroma was very vinous. It seemed very similar to a chardonnay, spicy, sweet, and hoppy. Flavor was pretty good and easy to drink with a little alcohol at the end. I guess the vinous notes could be from the honey maybe because it does have a slight similarity to a mead. Pretty tasty beer. cathcacr (589), Portland, Oregon, USA
