Poured a cloudy golden orange with frothy, foamy, creamy white head that slowly settled into a thin creamy lacing, fair amount of laced sticking.
Aromas of earthy, powdery yeast, pineapple fruitiness, Belgian sugariness and sweet pale malts.
Good carbonation and a crisp, velvety, carbonated smooth medium-light bodied mouthfeel.
Pleasant and tasty, tart citrus and pineapple, a light spiciness, a nice biting, but soft hop bitterness, a subtle earthy, musky yeastiness, a balancing sweet maltiness that mingles with a sugary alcohol, and a dry, fruity, sweet malty finish.
Just an wonderful Belgian ale, well worth trying.

Full, rich, muddy yeast in the nose, sticky brown sugar, plum and wood, deep and rich. Overripe fruit, some plums in with some oranges and bananas, high alcohol as well. Very interesting, another weird beer from De Dolle, becoming one of my favorites. dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 2, 2006 33cl, no date. Pours a cloudy caramel candy with a mountainous frothy off-white head. Aroma of powdered sugar, yeast, lotsa caramel malts , apricots, bananas, and apples. My glass is thick as hell with foam--can’t even really call it lacing. Flavor is the same with the addition of some darker toasty malts, citrus, and a little ETOH warmth.Mod-high carbonation, medium bodied. I’ve seen De Dolle @ John’s Grocery for as long as I can remember--I just wish I’d gotten them sooner. nhorween (640), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 12, 2006 Bottle. Hazy brownish-orange color with a huge off-white head consisting of big bubbles. Great retention. This smells like a belgian, no doubt about that. Bready, light yeast, sweet malts, slightly metallic, apple juice. The hops and honey are a really nice compliment in the aroma. Decent flavor. Bready, fresh, faint hops, light malts. Again the honey is there, but just barely. No alcohol to speak of, in the aroma or the flavor. Smooth, but bitter (like the pith of citrus), finish. This beer would be great in the summer (I’m sure I would’ve rated the flavor a bit higher if it wasn’t october...). Fresh mouthfeel, big carbonation. This is another nice beer from De Dolle, they haven’t let me down yet. jayme9874 (756), Hamburg, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Oct 3, 2006 Hazy light copper/amber with particles throughout. Lasting head and lace. Sweet malty/grainy aroma with hints of honey, black pepper, banana and others. Alcohol also plays a factor in aroma. Medium-full body, smooth as hell. Sweet honey with herbal notes, lush yeast character, prefect level of hopping, balanced incredibly. Finishes with a nice warmth. I like it. Need to revisit.
