Commercial Description:
Boskeun is the nickname of Jo, one of the two brothers who preferred to brew blond beer at home. It is a special Easter beer, one of the first real Belgian Easter beers. (Slaghmuylder's paasbier being first). It has been brewed with pale malt, Golding hops, cane sugar and refermented with native honey. As it is a seasonal beer we suggest not to keep it eternally. The name Boskeun means rabbit of the wood (virgin wood, maybe?) and the label shows it, sampling the last brew.

Light, straw yellow body with massive, bubbling, white head. Loads of carbonation. Citrus, malt, light earth aroma. Sweet malty full creamy flavor and palate. Warming alcohol finish with lasting sweet aftertaste. Fuller flavor and palate than expected based on appearance. Last pour offered floaties and still a huge head.

Draught. From memory... Orange hued with a white head. Very fruity in aroma. Quite light in body for such strength. Had some earthy and peppery notes.

Bottle presumably from ’05... Appears a cloudy haze of orange/gold with a small white head that fades into a small film and collar. Scattered lacing is left around the glass. Smell is of vanilla, caramel, and Belgian candy sweetness with golden raisins, apricots, lychee, mild mustiness, and yeasty dough. Taste is of the same aromas...almost honey infused and champagne like too. Mouthfeel is sweet, bubbly, dry, lip numbing from the sugar.

from the bottle. poured a light brown, with a big fluffy light tan head that left a trace of lacing. aroma, brown sugar, yeast, sour fruits that did not stay when it warmed a bit, a hint of alcohol. flavor, got apples covered with honey, hops, a touch of malts, a slight alcohol bite. nice bitterness at the finish. good beer
