Ungstrup (11136), Frederiksberg, Denmark Dec 28, 2003 The aroma is of oranges, citrus, yeast, and cloves. The color is an unclear orange with a fine but collapsing head. The flavor is sweet of oranges, cloves, and the alcohol that discretely plays over the tongue. A fantastic flavor. omhper (10456), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 24, 2002 Updated: Nov 26, 2003Sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm.
Murky dark yellow, lively rich head. Grassy hops up front. Sweet and full bodied with soft, rounded mouthfeel. Pepper and tar strikes, and then gentle toffee takes over until the grassy bitter finsih. Rich and complex.
Old rating, bottled. Dark yellow. Sweetish smell. Light and lively mouthfeel. Sweet and very hop aromatic. Big biterness. Very tasty! (8/4/8/15/16) Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 4, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Hazy and dirty (as most Dolle brews), orangey golden with a huge head.... Lots of fruity esters, lots of yeast and rather complex aromas. Sweetness galore from the added candi-sugars but the hops make this drinkable indeed. An Abbey Tripel - really? 081296 yespr (6373), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 20, 2007 33 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a crispy off-white head. Sharp alcohol and barley aroma, wineous and strong yeasty spiced. Flavour is powerfull sweet cane sugarish malty and with a subtle set of yeast spices. Finish holds a warming sugarish and alcohol dense flavour and quite warming. joergen (6340), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jan 8, 2005 Hazy golden colour with huge white head. Aroma of citrus, yeast and spices. Very carbonated. Sweet fruity flavour with lots of spices and a well balanced bitter finish. Usuallt I’m not fond of tripel’s, but this one is good.
