Commercial Description:
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

330ml Bottle: Aroma of yeast, slight fruit nectar, light cloves, biscuity pale malts, light pear, and a hint of citrus. Poured amber/orange in color with a large, foamy, off-white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Very sparkling. Full of small particles throughout. Flavor is lightly sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of yeast, pear, pale malts, hops, light cand sugar, slight honey, bitter hops, a hint of spices. Medium body. Dry texture. Lively carbonation. Yeasty, slightly sweet, lightly bitter finish. 10%ABV is undetectable.

Bottle pours slight hazy light golden color with white head that lasts the entire beverage. Aroma is belgian yeast, candi sugar, and some biscuit. Medium mouthfeel with a lot of carbonation. Flavor follows the nose and has sweet caramel and candi sugar, alcohol, belgian yeast, and finishes with an alcohol then biscuit flavor. Nice brew. Just a bit stronger than I would have liked. An aged version of this probably mellows nicely.

Bottle. A fruity and light sweet aroma, also a little bit soapy. The head is large, white and foamy, long lasting. The body is orange. The taste started light bitter, the finish is mild with a long duration. The body is creamy-lively with a lot of carbonatiion and medium strong

Top at map room. Shared with cgarvieuk and flssmrbrewalum. Damn good times! Yeast, fruit, honey, bread and alcohol on the nose. Flavor is sweet and fruity wtih good yeast notes, some honey and maybe a hint of bubblegum. Nice.

On tap at the Brick Store. Pours a clear yellow with a soapy white head that hangs on for ages and leaves very good lacing. The aroma is very light with lots of light fruit, apples and pears maybe, with some sweetish pale malts. Some lemons hang around the nose as well, though not too intrusive or tart. The taste is a slight step up from the aroma as the sweetness kicks up a notch with light fruits still playing the major role but with some candi sugar thrown in for good measure. The citrus comes out a bit more than the aroma and balances the sweetness of the fruits and yeast very well. The mouthfeel is very smooth and actually pretty sticky with the fruity and sugary sweetness on the palate. This is a fantastic beer. It’s been a while since I had one and I really forgot how good it is. one of the better tripels out there.

Tulip poured on draft at the map room (Chicago, IL). Good time with cgarvieuk and daknole. Pours a golde slightly hazed hue with moderate white bubbly head that dissipates to a film. Aromas are sweet, honey and slight belgian yeast and good fruity esters. Taste is similar, pushing sweetness, light florals, and honey and belgian sweetness over. Pear and apple, with just faint banana. Body is good, sweetness pervails. A very good beer, just not necessarily my thing.
