Cloudy orange, small head. huge estery aroma, a little gluey. Alcoholic and fizzy palate. Rich malty body, a little bit of rubber. Heady - winey and a little alcoholic, but spookily pleasant. Too much alcohol, but otherwise a lovely brew. acearl (215), J-Town, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jul 28, 2008 bottle. Pours a hazy golden color, medium white fizzy head, lots of visible active carbonation leaves a nice layer of foam that sticks around. Aromas of sweet candi sugar, yeasty sharpness, and some sweet fruit. Flavors of sharp yeast and a hefty dose of booze balances with a smooth sweetness, notes of table sugar, tangerines, and sweet breads. Palate is very crisp and sharp, booze shows up a bit much leaving something of an oily finish.
Overall: an interesting and tasty brew, but one that suffers from a couple distinct problems. BoBoChamp (1394), Gent, Belgium
