Commercial Description:
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

# 950. Pours a hazy golden orange with a thick and creamy white head. Unfiltered with plenty of hops floating around. Aroma of candied sugar, clove, banana and other spices. Taste of belgian yeast, candied sugar, banana and cloves.

2008 Bottle...upon opening, the foam shoved its way out, head takes forever to shrink...cloudy body golden in color....head is beige with brown sediment flaking the top (looks like a chocolate martini)....sediment galore in this beer, chunks I say, chunks(but they are small enough to drink)....a delicate lacing forming--clove a plentyin the aroma, also sweet candied sugar aromas...I get some sweet orange also, reminds me of the childhood jelly orange candy coated with sugar....its quite sweet on the first sip...alcohol apparent....its a little salty.....good though....making me want more sips...it has a very interesting appeal to it...orange peel finish with a bit of clove....body is medium with very low carbonation....just a bit of bubbles in the back of the throat...would like to re taste it with some age

33cl bottle courtesy of Markwise. Pours a golden caramel with a one finger white head that recedes slowly. Aroma is intoxicating and almost overpowering. Smells of candy sugar, ripe dark fruit, caramel, malt and yeast. Medium bodied with a somewhat creamy mouthfeel. Flavor is much like the aroma: intoxicatingly sweet with strong notes of caramel, toffee, apple, pear, fresh fragrant flowers and honey. Alcohol tends to come through a little especially on finish but is still not overpowering. Lingering, sweet-phenol finish. One of the best tripels we have sampled.

Bottle. Pours a hazy orange body with a frothy white head. Aroma is spices, some maltiness, some citrus fruit and a little etoh. A good beer.

Thanks to Bigmmartin for sending this bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a thick and creamy white head. The aroma is fairly sweet with apple, yeast, alcohol and sugar notes. The taste is a well balanced mix of light spices, citrus, a lot of brown sugar and other sweet candies, a nice balance between the creamy head and a dry finish. Very good. One of my favorite breweries.

(Dégusté avec french tickler) Une biere blonde avec un mince collet moyennement collant. Odeur de fluor, pommes, épices, gateau aux carottes, lime et tres fruité. Biere un peu trop carboniser. Gout sucr/ et de pommes.

Shared with Pyrozoid

App.: Lightly cloudy golden poor with a thin off-white head.

Aromas: green apples, pine, florine, carotte?, lime... brown sugar

Palate: Slightly overcarbonated... perfectly balanced sweetness and bitterness... medium/full body

Flavors: Green apples, brown sugar... very malty

Notes: The carbonation is overwhelming palate wise... unfortunate because this beer is very good overall.

Bottle. Pours a light golden color with darker sediment. Smells vaguely of lemon and other citrus. Sparkling, carbonated taste of light sweet bitterness with hints of dry orange flavor. Very fizzy with pleasing carbonated aftertaste. A pacifying and relaxing intoxication follows.
