Commercial Description:
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

330ml Bottle Pours out a hazy light gold. Topped with a off white foam head. A nice aroma of sour apples and pit fruit. Tast more of the apples and some belg yeast. Very nice. A big thanks to kmeves for this one.

bottle thanks to drmatt. Pours a hazy, faded yellow/golden color with a white head which lingered to create nice lacing. Some residue in the glass. Smell was of apple, raisin and yeast. taste was of yeast and apples. Mouthfeel was medium with carbonation and a hint of alcohol. Not a big fan of blonds or tripels.

Bottle. This one was a big disappointment. I normally like tripels very much, but this one just wasn´t what I expected. On the cap an inscription said juno 08 I wonder if thats a best before date. Anyway a dark golden beer with a huge and long lasting head. The aroma begins with a little fruity notes and then just applejuice, which I don´t like in my beers. Taste of sour apples, malty and after a while just like applejuice with vodka. No sweetness at all. I guess this one was quite old, as it seems like all the interesting things has gone and lots of alcohol stands back. I think I ´ll give it another chance some other time. A real turn off. Tasted again september 08. It was better aroma fruits, apples esters. Huge head. Sweet malty with a strong alcohol burn. Raised my rating from 2.1 to 3.1. Maybe something was wrong with the first one, but still not an especial tripel, have to say I don´t understand it´s rated so high.

Very fruity aroma, bananas, peach, apple pie, etc. Intensely sweet flavor, sticky syrupy feel and carbonated. Also somewhat creamy, in a Pannepot kind of way. In the end though, too sweet and too alcoholic for my tastes.

Fruity aroma, grapes and even vanilla. Hazy carrot colour, big biege head which disappears. Taste vanilla, malt, and not much alcohol at all. Very good long, bitter finish. Actually, the finish was more bitter than you’d think: this was the first beer in the morning on a trip to tallinn. The morning after was very bitter indeed, and I blame it all on this mad bitch.

I pour the contents of the undated bottle into a tulip. It is a slightly hazy golden color. The nose is malty and spicy. This is one of the drier tripels I have tasted. Hints of cloves and bananas up front, followed by spices. I am not familiar with the names of spices, so I will just say that there is a lot going on here. The mouthfeel is creamy, and well carbonated. The drinkability is good. This beer has a very clean finish. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 08-23-2005 23:53:07

Bottle, split with after4ever. Pours a cloudy gold with a massive white head. Some funk in the aroma along with fruit, apples and flowery, grassy hops. Sweet full body. All of this plus some oxidized apples show up in the taste, which is nicely bold.
