Commercial Description:
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

Poured a dark golden yellow with a huge fluffy white head that came bursting out of the bottle. Aroma is of yeast, hops and sweet fruit. Flavors of yeast and dough really come through. Body is medium with lively carbonation, almost too much, but it is still an excellent brew. Easy drinking for 10%.

Pours hazy orange with huge bits of pulp-like sediment and large fluffy white head. Aroma is yeasty and spicy with notes of candied sugar, apple, pear, some citrus, nice floral hops. Nice fruity flavor melds well with yeasty notes- apple, cardamon, peppery notes, some alcohol, hop bitterness. Palate is medium-thick and oily with a dry finish. A nice beer that makes me wish I was more of a fan of tripels.

Bottle. Two finger, slightly off-white head. Hazy amber body. Some flakes settling in the glass. Nose is cider-like, sweet, hints of honey, grassy hops, fruity flavors of melon and pear. Flavor has sweet malt, bitter orange, grape skin bitternss, alcohol is noticeable. Fruity esters and very mild dusty funky yeast complexity, esp. at the end. Finish is slight hop bitterness, dryness. Mouthfeel has some alcohol burn, some residual oiliness from the hops.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy dark golden color with an abundance of yeast sediment floating through the liquid. The large off white head is mostly lasting and carbonation is persistent. The aroma is orange citrus, alcohol, some hops, a little spice, and sweet. The flavor has a sweet malt base with some flowery hops, orange citrus, some alcohol (although not showing 10 %),spices, and a little bitterness. A fair amount of carbonation with a smooth mouthfeel.
