Commercial Description:
De Dulle Teve is brewed in the tradition of a Belgian Triple. Its high density stems from large amounts of pale malt increased with pale candi sugar in the brew kettle. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, bottle-conditioned.

De Dulle Teve keeps two to three years without major changes in taste. Further maturing, up to 10 years, will cause it to darken a little and lose some of its bitterness. The bittering of about 30 IBU is due to Goldings hops in the brew kettle.

8/13/05 330ml. side by side with Westmalle. Hazy golden/amber with massive white head. Sweet fresh fruit and hay/grass aroma. Sruity spicy hay and orange flavor. with a strong ending bitterness. The Westmalle was a little more balanced and just a little better.

Cloudy and slightly hoppy. Huge flavor of fruits and spices. Oh man! Delicious!!! Alcohol is hidden pretty well.

Pours cloudy and coppery, with an enormous white head that last, lacing the glass beautifully. The nose is strongly ruled by grapefruit and coriander tones followed more subtly yeast, and sugar. The flavor is sweet , sugary with touches of citrus and fine belgian yeast, that cover the alcohol very well. A great tripel!

Bottled: Hoppy aroma, light herbal and notes of grapefruit and alcohol. Light fruity and spicy. Hazy, dark yellow color. Extreme huge, frothy and creamy head. Sweet flavor with intensive candy notes. Fruitiness (apricot, rum-cherries) and very spicy (coriander, cloves). Alcoholic but well balanced. Dry finish, very hoppy with notes of grapefruit and citrus peel. Long herbal and bitter finish.

33 cl bottle from Bieropholie, served at just below cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Bright orange amber with a small white froth and huge, light-coloured yeast floccules. Aroma: Lots of peach/apricot jam, citrus peel, some meaty notes, raisins and dark dried fruits, molasses/brown sugar (just a bit), very slightly woody and bright; intensely sweet. Palate: Medium body, lightly powdery, full, large effervescence. Flav.: Quite fruit, some spice and flowery, leafy hops, honey, some citrus peel; sweet, a bit bitter and fairly alcoholic (tingles in the mouth).

Mad bitch indeed...

Bottle. Pours a cloudy amber color with a rather large pillowy, white head. Aroma is banana, cloves, some bubble gum and pale malt. Flavor is pepper, yeast, clove, banana, pale malts, cnadi sugar, alcohol. Palate is medium bodied, highly carbonated, finishes warm, sweet, and doughy finish. One of the better tripel I’ve had!

Pours a cloudy orange color int the trappist glass. There was a huge thick, creamy white head that settled into a half inch of head for the tasting. There was a nice ringlet of lacing that crept down the glass. The scent was of bubble gum, banana, clove, malt and yeast with some sour notes to accompany. A huge bubbly effect on the tounge and lively carbonation. A perfect sweetness balanced with an alcohol burn. One of the best tripels that I have tasted.
