| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 14, 2007 Pours a cloudy gold with a ton, and I mean TON, on nearly white head. The head is thickly packed. It takes a long while to die back, and when it does, it leaves fantastic lace. I sense a mildly tart aroma something like a Fantome, but not as prominent.
Taste is both tart and sweet. And spicy and alcoholic. I taste a little honey, some grain, and some kind of odd hops - let’s say tart floral. Mild dry spiciness. I taste no fruit, no candi. Medium to full body. Aftertaste of alcohol. Medium carbonation.
Tasty and rich, this is a good beer. 750 ml bottle. Mad Bitch indeed. vyvvy (2068), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Jan 10, 2007 Pours copper / golden with a rich frothy white head. The aroma is quite spicy with wild yeast, barnyard traits and some white grapes - tart and tangy, drier than most tripels. Medium body with lots of playful spritzy carbonation. The flavors start with moderately sweet thick pale malt, some honey, some vineous notes and light spice. The finish brings out the distinct Belgium traits - earthy yeast, barnyard and such. There is a bit of spice and some alcohol presence. A very nice verion of a classic style that is not as sweet as most. Big thumbs up. Tmoney99 (4781), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured hazy orange color with a huge frothy head that lasted with excellent lacing. Complex spicy fruit and yeasty aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium fruity balanced flavor with a medium sweet finish of long duration with a small alcohol bite. This is a standout beer. waolsen (1224), Littleton, Colorado, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jan 3, 2007 The 11 oz bottle was barely contianing this super hyperactive hazy yellow beer. Overflowed upon opening and released an outstanding fruity aroma. I usually pour the beer before I smell it. Apricot, banana, and watermelon. Yes, I smelled it twice, there is watermelon in there. Fizzy head was huge, but died off fast like a soda. Very sweet on the flavor as well. Some breadyness, orange, alcohol is present, but not overwellimg. Very Very good. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Dec 30, 2006 2003 750ml Bottle, tasted December 30, 2006. Beautiful bright orange pour with a big fluffy white head of lacy foam. As the foam recedes from the glass it leaves behind some string lace. Aroma is spicy and flowery, almost saison-ish. Flavor is slightly sweet initially, then the tongue scrapping dryness kicks in. Flowery and spicy. Tripels are one of my least favorites, but this is quality. No hot alcohol in either the aroma or the flavor.
