| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Oct 11, 2009 ~ Purchased this 11.2 oz bottle from New Beer Distributors in Manhattan, NY. Appearance is dark brown with a modest head that just doesn’t want to go away. The smell is intense. Dark fruits, spices, yeasts, hints of chocolate and vanilla - it’s all there! Taste is outstanding. Body is medium and carbonation is on the high side, but that’s a good thing because it gives me the chance to pick out all the wonderful flavors. The 9% ABV is masked quite well, but you still get that warm fuzzy feeling from the alcohol.
I feel I am not worthy to drink such an elegant, complex beer such as this!

Pours a dark brown colour with a huge head and good carbonation.
Smell is very present, has some good nuts there and got nice malts there too.
