| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 14, 2007 bottle. dark mahogony with enormous tan bubbly head. big aroma. roasted malt, yeast, spice, chocolate and floral. lively palate. ends with bitterness at the tip of the toung. rich. chocolate, very floral, hops, coffee towards end. interesting in how crisp, lively and rich this beer is. there is great balance. not over the top by any means but a nice stout. high alcohol well hidden. paired this with aged smoked gouda and it was great. garmonbozia (230), Hattiesburg, Mississippi, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Mar 13, 2007 Bottle thanks to Sprinkle: Pours black with a huge tan head. Smell of dried fruit, chocolate and spices. Taste is sour, maybe from the dried fruit. Also there was chocolate and coffee, very complex. I think this an awsome beer. petermadsen (391), Vesterbronxxx, Denmark
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 13, 2007 Black with brown hue, fluffy, big De Dolle signature head.
The aroma is of chocolate, burned malt, prunes and a hint of alcohol. The flavour is initially sharp, then the classic choco/coffee flavours start to take over. It ends sharp and with a sour hint and balanced bitternes.
It’s not your everyday stout but it’s a great beer! Brix (373), Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 13, 2007 Tasted 2007-03-13. Bottle of unknown date. Overcarbonated!!! Pitch black with a big, brown head. Aroma was a little sour and had notes of metal. Some pleasant notes in the aroma, that I can’t quite describe. Nothing like stout at all (aroma-wise). Flavour completely different from aroma: Bitter chocolate, coffe. Very bitter aftertaste. Creamy texture. A very different stout from what I’m used to, but I like it! | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 12, 2007 Acquired via trade with the perfect Maria. What an odd brew this is. The pour was a black color with a tan puffy head. The aroma was...and this in new for me....pumpkin. I could smell nothing else in this beer than pumpkin. Odd indeed. Taste was of chocolate in the beginning, but as the taste mellowed in the mouth gave way to straight alcohol and hoppy aftertaste. Very complex and different. gunsho (134), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 10, 2007 Pours black with a large, bubbly brown head that disappears quick. Roasty malts on the aroma. Burnt chocolate. Raisins. Strong, interesting flavor of chocolate, malts, and dark fruits. Tastes like a light Imperial Stout almost. Interesting. The more I drink the more sweet and fruity it tastes, and not in a good way. From the first sip to the last sip my opinions went down significantly, which is odd. SHIG (2037), Aviano, Italy
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 4, 2007 Draught: Poured a dark black/brown with a thick fast acting tan head. The aroma was very sweet candy like, many hints of liquorice, caramel, and roasted malt. The taste was similar and very impressive. Not to mention its name is a tongue twister if I ever seen one.
