The head is very large, brown and foamy, the duration is very long. The body is black. The first taste is fruity, then it gets malty, also some chocolate in the middle, the finish is a little bit sour with a long duration. The body is medium strong with a lot of carbonation and a very creamy body. A great Stout! Beershine (2754), Traipsing Around, Cambodia
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 23, 2009 Deep dark brown with tan head. Sweet, fruity, hot, ripe aromas. Fruit cake, acidic coffees, apples, and dates. Nice carbonation level is soft and not too high. Great panoply of flavors are sour, sweet, and roasty together. Love the brewery, love the beer. juiceisloose (677), Windermere, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 22, 2009 Pours a pitch black color with a huge, foamy mocha colored head that settles a to a thin blanket on top. The aroma shows notes of dry, dark chooclate, oak, espresso, and a funy sour yeast character. The flavor is dry and roasty as well with dark espresso and chocolate coming through with hints of oaky vanilla thats adds smoothness. The sour yeast is present throughout and adds an interesting character to the brew. Medium bodied with a lot of carbonation for a lively mouthfeel that finishes dry, and slightly sour. Pretty nice foreign stout. fidel (1011), Livermore, California, USA

Pours a deep coffee brown with an ENORMOUS beige head that seemed to stick around forever. Nose of dark toasted malts with a hint of booze as well as chocolate and coffee. Flavor was much of the same with coffee flavors and booze being dominant. Didn’t really do much for me.
