Bottled: Yet another of the beers I’ve been longing to taste. Tonight was the night, when BierKönig opened his new beershop in Copenhagen!! Is light golden coloured. Unclear. Has a huge off white fluffy head. Citrus, spice, yeast and fruit in the aroma. Flavour is citric, fruity and spicy as well. Has some obvious alcohol notes, but its not disturbing. Is crisp and refreshing . Medium bodied. Ends on a grapish note. This beers has all the typical De Dolle characteristics. Great.

Light gold in color with a large and morphing head of white foam. Beautiful and incredibly fragrant aroma with hints of peach, pear, apple, banana, clove, strong yeast and perhaps a hint of coriander, though I doubt it was used. Coriander continues on suprisingly with big, bright fruit forward notes, especially apple and pear (skin mainly) along with hints of orange peel. Big, full body. Simply an incredible, world class beer in my opinion.

(Bottled, BBE 07/2006) Very hazy, orange color with a huge head, and solid yeast particles in the bottom of glass. Citric-hoppy, yeasty, slightly sour and peppery aroma, which is quite mild at start because of the large head. The head reveals a quite interesting aroma with hints of spiciness and toffee. Fruity, quite hoppy, slightly peppery-spicy, quite dry flavor. Long, bitter and spicy finish. Medium-bodied, smooth, somewhat bitter palate with foamy, but balanced carbonation. Hides the ABV very well. An excellent, refreshing and strong blonde ale.

Huge, dense and very white head, leaving real Flemish lace; orangey tinted golden beer, the end full of floating UFO’s. Creamy nose, but at the same time some adstringency into the mucosae: whiff of ammonia/nitrites? The Western-Flemish water? Changing into very dry-hopped notes, as well as candi sugar aroma. Very roasted/toasted initial taste. Hop impression (bitter, but even more aromatic) as seldom found in a B. Beer; As a Californian I²PA, but with European hops, stead of USA. Fully attenuated, the candi sugar has left an aromatic impression, but no sweetness. Ends as if bitter chocolate was added; yet there remains a fruity (grapey) flavour. "Dry" doesn’t even come close. Well-bodied. Superb balance, with just the one emphasis on hop flavour. Wow. This is Kris’ "Hopdink", with the beer to back it. Must try. Much better than remembered.

Beautiful golden color, giant head. Nice woody aroma; old hops. Good body, malty, immediately overwhelmed by a very strong bitterness; the old hops add some astringency. Softer, sweeter and spicier when warmer. Very long final. Really good!

Light spicy/wheaty aroma. Huge head atop of gold haze. Sweet fruity flavour almost with apple. Light wheat beer flavour too. Little bit thin in feel but still a nice beer. Alcohol very well disguised.

cloudy dark orange colour, fine creamy head and a beautiful lacing, aroma of orange peal and bread with some spicy notes, creamy mouthfeel, full-bodied, very strong bitterness, long dry and bitter aftertaste of orange peal and spices with a touch of alcohol - not the most complex of the De Dolle brews but marvelously made and deeply pleasant !

Bottle at Copenhagen beer marathon 2004. Hazy golden color, heavy yeast spicy aroma, light sweet fruity taste, medium body, light dry bitter finish.
