Aroma is really zingy, its a little sour in fact quite intriguing the more you take it in. There is some apple skin and as for the spice it could quite easily be cinnamon intertwined with the apple, its quite lovely. The taste is a touch sharp/citric then sweet then citric again ooh lovely. There is yeast and spice and hops but its the wonderful interplay between the bitter sharp bite and the sweetness. This is another top draw beer from De Doll, superb stuff. A8 A3 F9 P5 OV18 4.4 Bontus (304), Waasmunster, Belgium

Probably at the Kulminator, I guess. Fruity aroma with oranges and bananas and green grass. Hazy orange color with big De Dolle head. Flavor shows balace and harmony between fruity orange creamsicle and grassy bitterness. Goes dry. Booze is well hidden, but why so strong? Great all around flavor, just an outstanding piece of work. thebeertourist (2820), Oslo, Norway
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 4, 2009 Bottle at Kulminator. Pours hazy golden with a huge head. Hoppy and yeasty aroma as well as dusty celar. Very bitter flavours, dry as a bone, grassy and flowery hops blending with cellar flavours. Good carbonation. No indication of age, but must have been in Dirk and Leens cellar for some while, I suspect, adding complexity. Slayer85 (584), Firenze, Italy
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Dec 30, 2008 Bottled. A cloudy golden beer with a huge, compact, adherent and persistent white head. The aroma is powerful and yeasty with malty, hoppy (flowers, grass), fruity (oranges, citric fruits) and spicy (pepper) notes with only a hint of alcohol. Really complex as expected. The flavour has something more than a moderate sweetness with a touch of acidity and many flowery feelings. Really well balanced and with some warming alcohol. It’s hard to say what ingredient prevails in this beer. Medium to full body, lively carbonation, long finish with medium to high bitterness. Another top beer from De Dolle, just fantastic.
