Light spicy peppery flavors along with a little bitterness. Drinkability is great. The 9% is hidden extremely well. I could put many of these away. JensenTaster (1588), Denmark

Plus some fat yeast esters, allmost weissen-like. Has an overwhelming alcoholic warmth and a burning hoppyness, along with a very hihg carbonation. Sweet, cloying finish; a very unbalanced beer. F*cking huge, foamy, white head with an amber, highly carbonated body filled with sediment chunks. White pepper and hops. Very tart hoppiness and redlicorice tones. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 19, 2005 Bottle. Nice fruity aroma leads to a spicy flavor with lots of sweet malt, fruit and firm bitterness. The bitterness becomes a bit distracting, as you drink the beer, as it begins to remind me more of the bitterness in dandelion or Campari. The mouth feel is fine, but the overpowering co2 tends to detract, as it steals some of the flavor. The looks are, as always, with De Dolle, excellent, with a hazy golden color and a wonderful rocky head, that seems to last forever. Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 16, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) 5% ABV in my version. Pale golden, slightly hazy with a dense and very white head with some sediment at the bottom. Fresh and fruity character with a way too dominating bitterness that overturns the balance. Pity in an otherwise interesting beer. 230699 ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark
