Grapefruit, mango, apricot fruitiness with creamy icing sugar sweetness in the nose. Hazy golden tan with dense, large, fine-bubbled, white head that lasts very well and laces beautifully. Mango, grapefruit and tropical citrus fruit flavours are joined by doughy yeast, candy sugar, and soapy, floral, perfumey, lavender hop flavours. Moderately strong finishing bitterness. Light airy body with fairly assertive carbonation that is sharp and lightly prickly. Definitely wakes up the tastebuds. Bottle sampled at GBBF 2005.

Bottle. Deep old gold/orange colour thin tight off white head. Fine beer. Hops bit of biscuity malt on nose with orange peel in mouth and lively hop finish. Goodish beer but not spectacular

Light cloudy deep blond beer with very big foam. Aroma is dry malty, hoppy, stone fruity, and has hints of pepper. Taste is powerfull (Duvel like) but with more caracter. It is dry, slight fruity and harsh hoppy bitter. Finish is fresh and green bitter.

My 1000th beer since leaving Australia, less than a year ago - Bottle: Light gold in colour, suprisingly clear. Lasting huge white head. Aroma is mildly fruity, with some serious spice and pepper there. Flavour starts a little tropical and grainy, ends estery, spicy and quite dry. Quite refreshing, and also quite tasty!

3 June 2005 - (De Yserpoort cafe - Diksmuide) - Crisp fruit malt and hop aroma. Cloudy orange-golden colour, great colour, great lacing and head. Light fruit malt and big hops. Big hop and steely finish.

Malted vanilla milkshake with lots of bubbly foam that lasts a long time and is a creamy yet light mouthfeel. Smells and tastes and looks vanilla. Some yeast and touch of spice and white pepper. Satisfying yeasty Belgian, 2000 painting. Expired February 2005 and has mellowed.

Hazy banana gold. Signature De Dolle foam. Fat, sticky, pure-white foam generates dense clumps of cream. Heavenly scents of honeycomb, lavender, rosehips, lemony hops, and doughy yeast leap from the glass. Peppery phenols awaken as it sits. Equally fluffy and expansively effervescent. Yeasty body films the tongue. First sip yields a palate clasping mixture of doughy yeast, ashen oak, and bread flavored malt dust. Trace honeycomb sweetness comes and goes. Spicy aniseed and minty alcohol dryness enhance the pervasively musty yeast character, which, along with the lush malt frame, pillars the body, throughout. Remarkably structured. Fruitiness is squelched by the peppery dryness and brash hop character. Heavily herbaceous, showing oodles of lavender over a leafier herb punch as things progress. Finishes with a late wave of understated phenolic dryness alongside smidgens of white pepper and a salty herbal-hop brush, as lavender and doughy yeast steadily soften the lasting aniseed sting. Rustic but elegant. Another De Dolle classic.

Hazy golden/apricot color, very lasting white head. Grapefruit and citrus aroma, woody and with a dry feeling. Flavor brings hops and citrus, grassy with metallic notes, spicy and with some fruits. Really bitter finish.
