Very hazy orange, huge cloudy white head. De Dolle nose: yeast, banana, leather and lemon. Smooth, carbonated, medium-bodied. Lemony with late citric bitterness and spices, some funky horseplanket flavors. When warms, gets more sweet notes. Dorqui (1361), Brescia, Italy
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 31, 2005 Many pleasant and unusual. Extremely dense and bulky foam, much supporter and creamy. Yellow pale color, lightly veiled and enough bubbly. Alive and prickly taste, much tingly and agreeable. Movement, much more than mineral water. Aluminum, cedar, orange and rust taste. Seems an old and seasoned beer but it’s extremely moved. Persistent finish with reading mildew notes. Jukkabro (3023), Tampere, Finland
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 17, 2005 Label says Museum Bier. Light orange color, strongly cloudy appearance with very big white head. Strongly spicy, dry aroma. Flavor starts also with very strong spices, ends with dry mouthfeel and some skunky tones coming from spices. Some sourness in aftertaste. Very dry aroma and flavor, characteristic brew. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 15, 2005 Bottle: Poured a real hazy dark yellow color beer with a super huge head with excellent retention. Aroma is dominated by strong yeast with some notes of cloves. Taste is also dominated by yeast but is also well balance by the malt and some spices. The end is quite bitter and the body is full. Another gem from this fine brewery. mucom (35), Netherlands

Very nice yeasty aroma, a bit like you’re on a farm, similar to a good saison. Dry flavour, hops, malts and spices fantastically balanced. I’m not a fan of all Dolle brews, but this is certainly good. The Etruscan (306), Tuscany, Italy
