Multiple bottles. Very lightly hazed golden straw colored body with a large white head. Spicy floral yeast nose in a purely farmhouse saison character: dusty, earthy, minerally, with an amazing softness and delicateness, while still remaining spicy and effervescent. Rich but not thick, with some banana and clove developing as the yeast becomes mixed later in the glass… that amazing De Dolle yeast, so minerally, earthy, and dusty, with a light wheat sweetness. Finish even shows some green hops, and again the dryness and yeast character round out a nearly perfect beer from De Dolle.

(Draught at Erasmus, Brugge, on 2008-05-21) Orange colour and cloudy. White dense head. Sour nose. Dryish palate. Sour and fruity taste. Some hops. Grapefruit.

Pours a dirty orange with floaties and a large white head, nice lacing. Aroma of citrus and barnyard. Flavor is a bit bland, sweet and sour. Dry.

Bouteille de 330 ml obtenue via Importations Privées Bièropholie. Arôme: Odeur d’épice et d’agrumes avec une pointe de fruit sûrette. Apparence: La couleur est orangée voilée avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un large col crémeux et d’une large dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût d’agrumes avec une pointe d’épices et de caramel. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture minérale. Forte effervescence en bouche. Légère présence d’agrumes en arrière goût. (Rating #1650)

I have an other gift from the brewers...An Oeral, best before 2005... I was forced to drink it by myself and my curiosity...So the beer has a cloudy orange body with a huge foamy head, and some freaky sediment....And the aroma: it was citrus and sour orange, strong perfume. The flavour contains sour orange, pepper, apple and some fizzy body, characteristic hop, a little tannin. Nice, sourish, hopful aftertaste. Stronge one, good one after this years in the bottle...

Small bottle into tulip. Fluffy heathery head over light grapefruit, very hazy orange beer. Citrusy, almost cherry cobweb smell at first, settles into an unfiltered wheat beer smell (blander, flabbier, with some soft banana). Reminds me a little bit of Piraat, but without a lot of the spice. Oh, wait . . . the spice is deep in the finish, no real corriander, the pepper is very dry but not black. My tongue is kind of numb; it can’t be that strong. Nice burst of carbonation intially, settles into some soft citrus fruit, maybe like if white grapes were more citric. Tasty, and not at all like other De Dolle I’ve had. In this case, that’s a bad thing, though; it’s not that special. Not bad, but not "mad."

Bottle. Peach,apple, cherry malt and yeasty alcohol aroma. Slightly hazy yellow color with large white head. Sweet peach/lemon malt and astringent alcohol/hops taste. A bit rough but still a good drink.
