330ml bottle, vintage 2006, dark mahogany color, with a tan-colored head, leaving laces, toasty, wood tannic, wet winey, oaky, tart cherryish nose, with a funky, yeasty, musty, barnyard, accent with cherry, mineral, balsamic vinegar note, and a hint of dark chocolate in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, funky, woody, oaky, tart, winey tannic, oxidized cherry character with some dusty, barnyard, leathery accents, with a hint of sour mustiness, leading towards a winey, oaky, fruity, cherryish tart finish.

2006 bottle...cant remember who sent it my way. Pours a brown color wtih a nice fizzy off white head. Aroma is full of cherries, funk, earthy notes, and some oaky vinegar notes. Flavor is dry, a bit sour and full of tart cherries and some red wine characteristics. For a beer that is a bit sour and dry I actually enjoyed it. See Sunshine there are some I can tolerate...

dark brown pour with a full beige head. Aroma is a tart cherry/wild raspberry, mixed in with some wood, and funk. Man i love the funk. The flavor is tart, and finishes slightly bitter. More of the tart fruit with some mild malt notes. This is a really nice beer, not what i was expecting. Its like a lambic/saison/belgian strong hybrid.

33cl bottle, 2007 vintage at Brasserie Beck. Dark red-brown with a medium light tan head. Tart cherry and cranberry aromas, with some red wine, oak, and yeast qualities. The flavor is rich and fruity, with oak and alcohol combining with deep fruity malts and tart flavors. Somewhat sour, but it is only an element in a complex mix of fruity, malty, and alcoholic flavors. Very vinous in character, like an acidic red wine with a full and powerful flavor profile. This beer cuts rich foods like a razor. Reminds me of a flanders red, but adds the rich alcoholic complexity that makes it stand out.

2007 Bottle. Dark red-brown pour with a finger of light tan head that lasts nicely. Big sour cherries, wood, and pit fruit aroma. Taste is more sour cherries, oak, no hint of the alcohol. Fantastic.

2006 bottle. Pours a hazy brown with light sediment and an off-white ring around the edges. Big sour fruit nose plus some Belgain yeast and a little sweetness at the end. Flavour continues with the sour fruit but also some wood but only a slight hint of the 13 ABV. An amazing and unique Belgian ale.
