Pours out a dark red color with a thick tan colored head on top. Smell is sweet, fruity, with some cherries. Possibly a little tartness in the smell too, perhaps this is brett fermented? Taste is tart and smooth, and damn good. This tastes nothing like their normal oerbier. The cherry flavor comes out and it has a nice oaked flavor but not in anyway overpowering. Great stuff. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 24, 2006 Pours clear deep (very deep) red with a large coffee coloured head that soon fades to leave a thin lasting band. Aroma instantly reminded me of Orval - all citrussy and fizzy. The taste is tart and fruity and 13% alcohol....totally masked, so glad i have others stashed away. chimplechamp (465), Oslo, Norway

It tastes like sour cherries, fruit and it has a wonderful mouth feel. great beer. Papsoe (15107), Frederiksberg, Denmark
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 22, 2006 (Bottle 33 cl) Pours a clear, amber golden with a yellowish/brownish, creamy head. Incredibly complex aroma of wood, overripe fruit and then tartnes - like what you find in a Flemish Sour. Surprisingly - considering the 13% alcohol - the body only comes out as medium, that alcohol is really well hidden. Distinct flavours of wod and overripe fruit - some sherry perhaps - but distinctly sourish. Incredibly delicate and refined. 191206 fonefan (11888), VestJylland, Denmark

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 21, 2006 Bottle (2004). Lovely amber colour with a fine and creamy white head. Nice aroma of sourness, sweetness and some fruitness. Great sour and sweet flavour of wood, sourness, oak and acidity. Very well hidden alcohol. Ends up refreshing and with a warm feeling from the alcohol. Reminds me a lot of a flemish sour. JoeinUccle (911), Brussels, Belgium

This was the tastiest thing I had all day. Deep reddish-brown with aroma of sour cherries... which also come through beautifully in the flavor. Lemony notes. Hardly any alcohol flavor, despite the 13%. Sourness in superb moderation, leave the sugar tooth at home. Musty, mature finish. Excellent. beermouth (435), Langeskov, Denmark
